Choose how information reaches Inbox.

Cloud API, Browser Extension, and Desktop Local API use the same reviewed-card workflow. Use only the sources that fit the way you work.

Cloud Inbox API

For hosted scripts, apps, and automations. Sign in to Boardeva, create a named source token, and revoke each connection independently without exposing your board content.

Requires: a Boardeva account and internet connection.

Browser Extension

Capture a selection, article, documentation page, or structured AI conversation. Edit the title, summary, tags, and Markdown before sending it through Desktop Local or Cloud Inbox.

Availability: Chrome Web Store release is not yet verified. A download link will appear here only after the direct listing is confirmed.

Desktop Local API

Send local data from scripts, utilities, and AI agents directly into Boardeva while the Desktop app is running. It stays on the loopback connection on your computer.

Requires: Boardeva Desktop running; no cloud account required.

Review before routing

Capture first. Decide where it belongs second.

Inbox separates collecting information from organizing it. A source may suggest a board and column, but you remain in control of the final destination.

  • Preview the finished card before it enters your workspace.
  • Use named, independently revocable tokens for each source.
  • Use idempotency keys so safe retries do not duplicate an item.

Enable Inbox

Open Features & Extensions in Boardeva and keep Inbox enabled. Disabling it pauses source ingestion without deleting queued items.

Create a source token

Name the Cloud, Extension, or Desktop source so you can rotate or revoke it without affecting other connections.

Send and review

Use the shared card payload, then open Inbox to edit, route, accept, or discard the incoming item.

Local means local.

Desktop Local listens only on 127.0.0.1:37281 while Boardeva Desktop is open. It uses a separate token and is designed for programs running on your computer—not as a public internet endpoint.
